Many pets are lost on the 4th from fear of fireworks.  Please keep current tags on your pets, check all gates and keep them inside with the windows closed during the fireworks.  A Thundershirt may help with the fear as well.

Adoptable pet of the week

Waldo will turn 4 next month and is a big, striped sweetheart!  This wonderful boy does well with other dogs, is small dog safe and child friendly.  He would prefer someone who works only part time or is home often to call his family.  Contact Rescued Racers for information on how to meet him!

Adoptable pets of the week

Buster is a chihuahua/tibetan spaniel mix who is 2-3 years old.  He is very loving but is not ready to be around children just yet.

Sugar is a 2 year old pitbull who is a real sweetheart!  This little girl weighs in a 45 pounds and is solid muscle.  She did growl at a cat so a home without kitties would be best.

Both are available through River City Chihuahua Rescue

My 14 year old greyhound sister Madison takes Soothe Joints and Comfort Aches and she gets around great!  I get Sound Dog joint support to protect my joints since I go running with Dad and also race around the house and yard like a maniac!

Crunchy fish sticks are back!

Just got a big shipment of the cod skins in and boy am I excited!  My big brother Donnie tried to steal my container but I wasn't having any of that!  I almost got them open myself but Mom stopped me.

Adoptable pet of the week

Tag (Tagzun) will turn 5 on June 29th and he would love a forever home for his birthday.  He had a successful career at the Southland track and now looks forward to a long, successful career as a pet.  He is not small dog or cat safe and prefers older children as he does not realize how big he is!  He is available through Rescued Racers

Ponch is a 1 1/2 to 2 year old Chihuahua who is neutered, microchipped, heartworm negative, had a dental cleaning and is current on all shots.  He is a quiet, sweet little lovebug that get along well with other dogs.

OMG!  Where has goat's milk been all my life?

This is delicious and Mom says it's good for my immune system and has probiotics for my tummy.  I just know I love it!

Dog afraid of thunderstorms?

I love my Thundershirt for stormy days!  My brothers and I wear ours before the storm starts and we stay relaxed and calm.  Much better than hiding in the closet!  Call to see if we have your size and then come in for a fitting--it needs to fit snuggly like a firm hug to work.

Adoptable Pets of the Week

Dixie and Elsie are sisters who have completed their momma duties and are now ready for retirement.  They can be adopted together or separately and each is good with small dogs and cats.  Elsie is a funny girl who likes to carry shoes and prances while she does it!  Both girls are excited to greet you when you get home.  They are both 7 years young and available through Rescued Racers.

Our next rescue group to benefit from our Pounds for Likes program is MUTTS N' STUFF. AC will donate a pound of food for each new like on our Facebook page. Mutts is starting at 1,296 likes and this program is in effect for one month.
